Qingdao University of Technology has successfully done an upgrade for Triaxial Automated System (Load frame type).
Technical specification of Triaxial Automated System:
Method A:
Pore pressure/volume (air/water) measurement resolution: pressure=0.2kPa, volume=1mm3
Pore pressure/volume (gas/water) measurement accuracy: pressure≤0.1% of full scale, volume=0.25%
Method B:
Volume measurement adopts 16bit data acquisition device, resolution: <2mm3
Volume measurement accuracy: For a triaxial specimen with a diameter of 38mm and a height of 76mm, it is estimated to be approximately 32mm3 or 0.04% of the volumetric strain
Method C:
Pressure chamber volume measurement resolution: 1mm3
Measurement accuracy of pressure chamber volume: 0.25%
Method D:
Using a 16bit data acquisition device, a sensor with a range of ±3mm, the resolution of the displacement measurement on the sample surface: ≤0.1μm
Accuracy: Hall effect sensor=0.8%FRO, LVDT=0.1%FRO
