The cross-section of the tunnel consists of two concrete vaults. The length of the tunnel is 1230 m.
The aim of the monitoring was to increase knowledge on the vaults behaviour during the outer filling loads application. 30 sensors were installed on one characteristic section. Fiber optic sensors are integrated in the global concept together with inclinometers, thermometers, load cells, piezometer cells and geometric measurement.
